Sacred Rhythms: Practices of the Saints

This sermon series invites us to explore foundational practices that sustain the life of the Church and deepen discipleship. These practices, rooted in Scripture and the Christian tradition, are more than rituals; they are pathways to experience God’s grace, nurture authentic community, and shape us into the human God created us to be. By engaging in these habits, the Church lives out its calling as the body of Christ, and believers grow in their ability to reflect God’s presence in the world.

Each week focuses on a distinct practice, emphasizing its biblical foundation, role in the life of the Church, and transformative impact on the believer. However, there are two important aspects of the ordered life: It is rooted in God’s saving grace and it was not meant to be lived out alone.

These practices do not in any way earn God’s favor; instead, they are a response to his unmerited grace through Christ. But also, the Christian life is inherently communal. While some practices require private devotion, they all should point and lead us to a deeper fellowship with other believers.
