Parenting often feels like a pursuit of raising happy, high-achieving, and successful children by the world’s standards, which can lead to fear, frustration, and disappointment. However, God offers a different design for parenting—one that focuses on shaping our children’s hearts for spiritual formation. This seminar explores how to embrace God's path for parenting, guiding our children to live with joy, hope, and purpose in the calling for their lives.
Join with other parents from our church for a Saturday morning workshop, with childcare provided. The morning will include a light breakfast, teaching time with a guest speaker, Q&A, and a chance to connect with other parents. Regardless of your parenting stage (thinking about becoming a parent, have an infant, preschooler, or preteen!), you're invited to spend the morning growing as a parent.
Details: Childcare will be held on-site at AndCo. Registration cost is $10/person, with a family max of $30. If finances are a hardship, please email rachel@hopejerseycity.org to inquire about a scholarship.

About the Speaker:
Martha Schartner is joining us from the Pittsburgh area, where she just retired from over 17 years serving on staff at First Pres Church in Beaver, Pa. In her most recent role as the Director of Discipleship, she preached regularly and led initiatives to nurture spiritual growth across all ages. Martha’s passion lies in helping people of all life stages encounter the transformative love of Christ, and equipping believers to actively engage in God’s work within their neighborhoods, communities, and beyond.
She and her husband, Dale, are parents to three adult married daughters and the grandparents of seven grandchildren, with one more on the way. Martha delights in spending time with family and friends, biking, reading, and playing games of all kinds.
