Rooted & Established In the Love of Christ

Everything is changing, and faster than we can keep up with. Work that once promised a meaningful career is now filled with rumors about the next round of layoffs. Rent and housing prices that were once affordable are now out of reach. Technological advances have commodified our attention and keep us preoccupied with endless content. And there's no end to the relentless noise. We are under enormous pressure to keep up, yet we are at risk of losing ourselves in the effort.

However, God offers us something more true and grounded. Not more information about him, but a wonderful relationship with him. That's why in Ephesians Paul prays for the church to be rooted and established in love. This is not about how well we perform or some self-improvement plan, it is about resting in a love we didn't earn and cannot exhaust. God invites us to be rooted in Christ, who is deeper than the shallow substitutes the world offers. Because all the things we are searching for: life, love, rest and our identity is hidden in him. The good news is that this is not one more thing to achieve. But it is an opportunity to sit, rest and grow in Christ.

Join us the next few weeks to explore what it means to be rooted.
